What is difference between voltage and potential?

Answers:

Answer #1
Voltage is referred as Potenial difference between two points.potential means its force. I think so.voltage defination is 100% correct.

Answer #2
Voltage is potential difference between any two points. Voltage is quantity that defines the energy required to move electrons from one point to another point where as Potential is quantity that defines the energy required to bring electron to that particulat point from the infinite distance. That’s why voltage defined between any two points where as potential defined at particular point.

Answer #3
Flow of electrons from one terminal to other terminal means difference between no. of electrons and flow is called Voltage but at one terminal has nos. of electrons is called potential .So we can say that difference between two terminals called voltage but at one terminal has electrons called Potential.
